We are pleased to confirm that we will be adding an extra session to the end of this term – this is to replace the session that we had to cancel in January due to the rubbish weather! Please make a note in your diaries now!!

This Saturday we were treated to a session on ‘Stop Motion Animation’ with the fabulously versatile Ryan Laight. We looked at different ways of building ‘character background’ and had a go at drawing people, using our heads (quite literally!!) – with some amazing results! Then the Juniors went on to devise, film and edit their own individual 10 second animated films using 2D puppets that they had made from coloured card; and the seniors designed and constructed individual 3D models using wire and plasticine then created an incredible 30 second sequence of footage of their models rampaging along the halls of Blatchington Mill!

We’re back after our half term break and our supervisor today will be Pip!

Last Saturday, Sheila Datoo was at the theatrecenter helm; aided and abetted by the fabulous Actor/Producer/Director Jane Lesley! The students were put through their improvisation paces and worked on honing their ensemble skills… and created some excellent drama in the process!
